Sasha Pirogova
Born 1986 in Moscow. MS in Physics from Moscow State University (2010), studied Video and New media at Moscow Rodchenko Art School (2014).
Holds the Innovation Prize in the “New generation” category (2014) and the Kandinsky Prize as "Young artist. Project of the year" (2017). In 2016 won a grant of the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art for emerging artists and the V-A-C Foundation and Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp Acquisition Programme. In 2017 presented Russia at the 57th Venice Biennale.
Works are in сollections of National Center for Contemporary Art (Moscow), Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow (MAMM) and Gazprombank (Moscow), Videoinsight Foundation (Bologna), Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp (M HKA) and Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma (Helsinki).
