The publication of the annual art rating 49ART took place

49ART presents outstanding contemporary Russian artists under the age of 50, whose work has been highly appreciated by the expert community.

The art rating 49ART-2022 includes 72 authors, five of whom are marked with an art rating for the first time. New names for the art rating are Alexander Tsikarishvili (St. Petersburg), Nestor Engelke (St. Petersburg), Alice Gorshenina (Alice Hualice) (Sverdlovsk region), Krasil Makar (Sverdlovsk region), Artem Filatov (Nizhny Novgorod). For the first time, 49ART is not supplemented with new names of Moscow artists. From the capital, 49ART-2022 includes authors who have previously been represented in the Art Rating.

Over the five calendar years of the Art Rating's publication (published since 2017), 27 leading experts on contemporary Russian fine art took part in its compilation - employees of the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Hermitage, other leading museums of the country, art historians, curators, gallery owners.

In total, 84 outstanding contemporary Russian artists were awarded an art rating during the 49ART publications.
